Has anyone ever managed to get one of these to play? Its called an “iBurswood” and is clearly a childs mini-Strat copy. See photo - For those in doubt – its the smaller one. LOL! Bought in on a whim for a Fiver in local junk shop for my 7 year old GD who is learning on my Spanish and I thought it might just the right size for her to “progress”. It works electrically but so far I’ve been unable to tune it so that it can play anything. Although in pitch(ish) on 12th fret, the frets dont play good on-pitch notes generally and the strings, such as they are, seem very slack. It is more or less playable from the 5th fret upwards, its the lower ones 1 – 4 that are out most. Has anyone else ever had one? Is it meant to be tuned EADGBE or is it Uke tuning? Was it just meant to be some sort of Wall Candy? Any tips or hints. ANYTHING will be a Bonus. :-) Cheers ian

Hi Ian, Nut slots too high? Check the string to first fret gap when any string is pressed ahead of the second fret. Regards, Charlie

Hi I'm no expert, but it seems to me that with the shorter scale length, standard strings would have to be at considerably lower tension to get standard guitar tuning, which might explain the slackness on the lower frets? Maybe there are special short scale strings you can buy?
Cheers

Hi Ian,a spare set of sperzels might do the trick... LMAO! This plank only cost a Fiver. Last nights Mad Thought was to upgrade it as a "Surprise Guitar" for Club Meets and use it to play Shads tunes. But then I sobered up. Cheers ian

Cheers Keith No idea, Keith but what is clear is that IF I tune it as a 6 sring Uke, it is more or less in tune but of course 5 frets up on a guitar tuning. Cheers ian
