Hi Charlie Will there be a plan to implement a midi connection to the echo unit? It would help us to jump from a preset to another directly. Also is a save of user presets to Personal Computer planned? Sheendigs

I absolutely agree with sheendigs. That would be very much an added extra I would really like to see as my whole live performances are midi controlled it would make life so mush easier.

Hello Gents,
I believe this topic was lightly touched upon some time ago and I expect that midi will possibly come in at some future time for those that want it.
In the meantime, the unit has two sets of patches, both the same, for which those in the USER settings can be programmed in the same order as a setlist. This is ok if you have a defined list. The unit can be set up so it only takes one push of a button for the next required patch. The name of the tune can be shown and the echo altered as required if you need to. If you play tunes randomly, then perhaps the normal P list will need to be used relying on patch numbers.
Cheers
Mick

Hi Sheendigs, Some MIDI capability was intended to be included in the unit's software for a rackmount version of the unit but as John passed away there is little hope of being able to implement it, and to be honest there just isn't enough demand for a rackmount unit to make it a viable proposition. Not all parameters of the patches are accessible in the editing routines. This was my decision so as to protect the software from piracy. Therefore it was never intended to allow access to the parameters via a computer or any other external device. I can understand MIDI being a necessity with rackmount units but there is a lot more flexibility with the floor unit design even as it stands. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie Thanks for the reply. As for the personal computer request, I was only referring to the ability to save the presets of the User area. I guess that anyone would want to generate or modify its user presets to its taste. We will have to annotate our mods carefully. Sheendigs
