Hi guys,
A custom build to order pedal that is made to give you the tone of the classic british amplifiers that where equipped with the famous EF 86 tube.
It is powered by two subminiature tubes and has an additional treblebooster in front that is switchable. Information and order at www.redstuff-amps.de/Kind regards, Bernie

Hey guys,
Close inspection reveals that the pedal is definitely non-exclusive designed for overdrive uses. In distinction from pedals which run semiconductor-based this one works with two real tubes and internal with 250 Volts. It is hand-made from valuable parts - you get what you pay for. No pain, no gain ...
Kind regards, Bernie

Hello Gents,
The Joyo AC Tone is a very inexpensive pedal, yet it gives various AC tones including an EF86 tone. The tone switch is a rotary sweep knob rather than a precise selector so the selection of the EF 86 tone would rely on a good ear.
Has anyone ever been in the position of being able to A - B the AC Tone pedal against the real thing or the Pentode 86 pedal to see just how realistic these pedals are?
Cheers
Mick

Hi MIck, Here is a file I didn't even use a amp or mike...and not a valve in the picture either.. Just a slapboard strat (1960) with also 14-62 strings(nowadays 13-56), the H&CSE and a AcTone, direct into a Boss BR1600cd recorder also live with the BT... Witch DoctorCheers Rob

Hello Rob,
I knew you used an ACTone for this recording and I was just wondering if your great recording would have been even better with one or other of these pedals, hence my query.
Cheers

Hi Mick,
I think the above Redstuff is more aimed for the more heavier tunes. I presume that a few bus-loads are waiting and counting the days to receive Charlie's EF86 pedal. I can't wait to receive it!!! The VOX AC15H1TV and my Matchless DC30 have both a EF86 channel and it brings something to the recording, a ECC83 can't...
I have full confidence in Charlie creation, because just recently I could compare the H&CSE pre-amp with a genuine Meazzi pre-amp and it has the same response !!! Really a wow moment!
Cheers Rob

Bernie your right a matter of taste....
Every *&^% gear demo you hear/see on YT, you hear distortion and a mix of Mayer and Bonamassa licks, which were already done in the good ol' days when they where original. A honest clean signal is most of the time far away...
Cheers Rob
