I heard some time ago that Hank used a Tubescreamer for his overdriven sound in the studio. In fact, I believe I saw a photo of it too. I don't think he ever used one for live shows as he used the Marshall JFX1 for overdriven sounds at least since 1997 if not before then. Regards, Charlie

I noticed on the Hank Plays Live DVD, he has a fairly substantial pedalboard. You can definitely see him using it during Sacha.

That was a ART switching board, they used two. One on the left a X11 for Ben with also some other pedals....the one used by Hank was a X15 Ultra Foot (pink script version)and it was used only as a on and off switch for re-route his signal to the Marshal JFX-1. That system including a ADA MP-2 is what he used for dogs years. The on and off switching pedal differs almost every tour....mostly it's A/B type and sometimes that is guttered out to prevent mistakes and just left with one switch....
Cheers Rob

Several videos have been published, but have some small flaws from the primary source. The presence of a mouse pointer at the bottom right, sound cuts (lyrics or music) for copyright reasons, extraneous sounds coming from live video capture (email notifications for example). Thanks to another source free from these problems, but at the lower video quality, I managed to correct these defects and make a clean, chaptered editing, to which I allowed myself to add a personal final. I would therefore like to give you the link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMhz_pe_xDc
