I really like this one, It's based on the Jorgen Ingmann version, he had the USA hit with it back in the 60s!

Another version here by the mighty Larkin Poe - two American sisters who usually play blues and rock. Whats nice, is that they credit the song as "The Shadows Cover (Apache)". So nice to see the Shads getting some credit Stateside, and from 2 girls who weren't even a glint in the eye when the original was released  . They also do a stonking version of Sleepwalk. www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7rDXhrlFAQI just love their expressions as they play (particularly Megan the slide player). They seem to get so much joy from the music. |
