Just for fun I bought a NUX Echo because it reminds of the Roland 201. The difference is that the three heads can be given individual values and save up to seven patches. I wonder if anyone has some experience with the NUX.

Hi Emiel, I've bought a year ago on Marktplaats a NUX Tape Core and a NUX Time core both together for the sum of €40,-....kinda NIB A guy with synths tried them once and put them back in the box. I made some comments on some other shad sites about how good they are and presto quiet a few geezer bought the Tape core de luxe as a 301 gimmick. So we discussed a lot and Dave Robbo toke it further and experiment with s second Tape core for the fourth head, to emulate a descent shadow echo. He's is quiet keen on the sound,so you could contact him. Thing is with these machines is, if you can replicate the exact echo times of the old hits....they will lack the ambiance of the original machine(wart's and all). In my ears only Charlie&Johns machine is the closest you can get for the recorded sound of the hits. Cheers Rob

Hi Rob,
It is indeed a nice device, but limited. As I said, it is just for fun because I like to experiment with those boxes. I have heard the H&C and that sounds very good, but expencive. I once had an Atlantis 1, a very good too, but with an AC30 and the other gear became a problem for my back, so I switched to a ZOOM Ms50G, very light weight and versatile, very easy to programme. I know that Dave is very content with the NUX. I read that he ordered two extra devices so he can programme four heads. Looks nice, but seems to me very complicated when to switch to an other setting. Wonder what the result will be....
Cheers, Emiel
