Hello Sheendigs, I saw this series of guitars advertised earlier. It's all about prise increases.
I already have a Nashville Telecaster and looked up the new model to see just what is new. Well, my earlier version had all the same standard Strat pickup selections from the three pickups, but not the neck bridge setting that is a Telecaster must. It cost me just a few pounds to have a mimi switch installed to correct that omission.
The new Nashville now has a push pull switch to achieve the same array of tones I have - with a considerable price hike for this extra.
Push pull switches are not easy to use in a live situation, so I expect that next they will update the push pull switch to a push push switch - far better - as installed in the Yamaha SG2000S.
Cheers
Mick

Hi Mick I came to the same conclusion that a push-push switch would have been better and it gives more results. But hey..they decided otherwise..anyway I love the red and yellow fusing colour. Anyway, for those who do not know the switching possibilities of this switch...have a look at this article www.fender.com/articles/gear/the-push-push-mini-switch-explainedSheendigs

To get five more useable tones available at just the twitch of a fingertip, fit a Freeway switch: www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk/shop/product/free-way-5x5-10-way-blade-switchwww.thomann.de/gb/freeway_switch_5b5_01_black_tip.htmThe switch rocks up and down to give an extra bank of five positions (where + is parallel and - is series) Lower bank is standard Strat: 1. Bridge 2. Bridge + Middle 3. Middle 4. Middle + Neck 5. Neck Upper bank is the five new options: 6. Bridge - Middle - Neck (or alternatively it can be wired as Bridge - Middle) 7. Bridge + Middle + Neck 8. Bridge - Neck 9. Bridge + Neck 10. Middle - Neck This should come as standard on every Strat but Fender's attitude is, "Not invented here" -- i.e. someone else owns the patent. DaveC.

Hello Gents,
At this point I thought it is worth mentioning that if you want all these tonal options ......and more......and if like me you are a danger to life, when wielding a soldering iron, then look to engage the services of IRONSTONE pickups.
I have set of their pickups on one of my Strats. They are not expensive, but they are good. Also if you ask they will wire them up on a scratch plate for you. My plate has a mini switch that has 3 positions. each of which has up to five sounds. So if you want standard Strat sounds or pickups in series or parallel or even series and parallel together then you know where to go.
Cheers
Mick

Good point Mick, for the money, Ironstone golds are terrific, I put them on a Mexican 1991 Strat. and the improvement was significant, Frank
