Just wondering if anyone was at live aid at Wembley ( or Philadelphia) bored S less in lockdown and got out the DVD. I thought they might have kept the entrance at least to Wembley when they demolished it and rebuilt it ? Philadelphia they got rid of completely sadly Matthew

We weren’t there, but watched the entire event on TV. This generation will never know, or understand, how it felt watching it.

I was there Matthew - just in front of the desk 'tent'. I was 21 and there with my girlfriend at the time. Of course - we never knew how mythical it would become through time. The sound was not great (understatement) - but I tell you this, Bowie was incredibly magnetic and Queen - and of course I have seen the movie - but nothing can describe the feeling inside that place, being there at that time, the set that the band produced that afternoon. It remains the most magical musical moment of my whole life. And, as a Newcastle United fan - the only time I have ever been to Wembley!
