Hi trying to streamline wires on my pedal board and wondered if anyone had tried the Trex power bricks with Ac out ? they appear to do DC and Ac ac at 12 volts 500 Ma. I'm just looking for a single power brick that will run my Hall and collins as well as a few low powered dc pedals.

I haven't tried the Trex unit. I see the 500ma spec of the 12V AC output. While this will work because the current requirement for the H&C is around 300ma, I do prefer to see a higher rating simply because John Collins did a test on a 500ma supply which he left powered from the mains for 24 hours. Even though this power unit's output was not connected to any device, it burnt out. Some H&C were sent out with 500ma supplies and as far as I know they have been satisfactory apart from possibly thin and weak output cable and connector breakages. Regards, Charlie

Hi charlie thanks for your reply just checking the power supply it has stontronics ltd ac1201000bs - says it 12v - 1000mA 12VA not sure if this is the orgional power supply although it all fits in the H&C Box. I got this Seconhand a few years ago. I never leave anything powered up when not in use thinkg the longest my pedal board is powered is about 5 hours (and that only cause i forgot lol)
What i'm trying to achieve is to have one mains lead and one output jack that does to the amp, and all the wires nice and neat under the board, i think i maybe a little OCD lol.

The Stontonics unit is the original spec power supply. Regards, Charlie

Well pleased to say the Fuel Tank classic works brilliantly with the hall and colins echo along with my other dc pedals.
