Hi,
I'm now looking at purchasing the strymon volante echoe unit does anyone have any experience with this unit for shadows tunes.

Bonjour j'avais une Strymon volant, que j''ai revendu car il est impossible de trouver la bonne chanson d'échos type "Shadows" avec cette machine, j'ai correspondu avec les techniciens de Strymon qui mon signalés que ce système a été étudié avec les caractéristiques de la binson.
Ci dessous un exemple audio du type de rebonds, les premiers sont du type Sep Vox (Meazzi) et ensuite les rebonds que j'ai pu réaliser avec la Volant.
Par contre les rebonds concernant "Apache" sont plus faciles à trouver...

Hello, I had a flying Strymon, which I sold because it is impossible to find the right "Shadows" type echo song with this machine, I corresponded with the Strymon technicians who told me that this system had been studied with the characteristics of the binson. Below is an audio example of the type of rebounds, the first are of the Sep Vox type (Meazzi) and then the rebounds that I was able to achieve with the Volant. On the other hand, the rebounds concerning "Apache" are easier to find...

The Strymon Volante is planned to imitate the Binson.

Its programming is rudimentary if one uses the controls that are offered on the pedal.

However, it is possible to intervene on the level of the heads with 127 programming steps that the M.I.D.I standard allows and by playing on the command which allows '' to space the heads '' in an unequal way we can achieve a few things which resembles the Wonderfuland pattern.

Of course, it's not exactly like Hank's SEP but in digital machines it's not the worst...even if its programming can discourage people who are not MIDI experts...lol

Can anybody help me with the sound
I looked also on YouTube butt still the sound is bad
The mutted party are oke butt the melody sounds with a delay it seems

This made me reluctant to purchase one however after correspondence with Garystrat who’s opinion was that it was good straight out of the box I purchased
and tried it for the first time today, here is my conclusion-.

After 50 years my search is over!, this pedal delivered (that sound), and boy does it do it in style, in a beautiful gold case everthing about it shouts quality,
It’s such a joy to use and so responsive to inputs, Gary directed me to some settings on you tube and the sound was immediately there.
There is such joy when you finally get a sound you love as your playing becomes so much better and I bought a mint used one for £290.
I would like to say a massive thank you to Gary who has been a huge help in me making what has turned out to be my best pedal purchase ever.
I hope the above is of some help to anyone who is thinking of purchasing one, my advice don’t think just buy it, it is a truly outstanding machine.

Maybe Mannes would have been better to simply ask for help before trying to imply the unit sounds like c**P (which is what I think he meant by Crabb?)?

I sent him a PM with the settings and videos that should help get him started, but so far have had no response!

This was under "Technical Support" and two other sections including Darrells sound file of "Cosy" with absolutely no mention of the recording?
