Hi, Done a lot of reading and feel I am going round in circles. To cut a long story short , I am a home player and just sold all my amps and pedals and gone down digital route for ease and space. I was a Les Paul player but just built a Stratocaster which I love but it's a hardtail. I have decided that I love the shadows tone and won't to go down that route and at present I am building a Stratocaster for Hank Marvin tones. I have bias fx2 but I mainly use a valeton gp200 lite pedal for my tones but struggling getting a Shadows tone from it so thinking I need to get a fx pedal to put with it in the loop. I have seen a zoom 50 pedal that you can buy with shadows tones and was think is this any good anybody used them. My gp200 got ac10 and 30 amps and I have some good speaker ir,s just thinking a echo pedal will get me there. Problem is I need a easy pedal to set up and one which is for sale most pedals are no longer available. Next thing is budget I am a home player so is there anything that means I don't need to sell a kidney or do you need to spend kidney money for decent sound. All help welcome Peter

All help welcome Peter Hi Peter, As you are a home player, if you are OK using a computer, then the cheapest way to get what you want is going down the software route. You need a windows computer of around 2.5Ghz or above, nothing fancy as the program can only use a single core so you could get a cheap used one if you are using a Mac or similar, plus a USB interface. Have a listen to Jason (B String) using Christian's free software from here: VST HostJason has a large catalogue on YouTube of Shadows, plus others, using the system.

Cheers for that Sandra, I have already downloaded that but I am not brilliant with computers so was having trouble adding it to my DAW. I have managed to add a lot of the vst,s from it to my DAW. I have been using my valeton gp200 and I have tried the vst eTap2 with it but haven't got a clue how to work the eTap2 for settings. I also have bias fx2 but my internet is brilliant so my choice is the gp200. Cheers

Do you have the tab for that solo? I can never get it right just by ear Matthew Do you mean for The Savage Matthew? If so there's a solo TAB on Goran's site. Sadly Goran passed away but Jan has hosted his original site here: goran.tangrin.eu/

Cheers Hi Peter, You need to set VST Host by itself before you can think about using it with a DAW, if you want to use it with your DAW you need to use a second USB interface or you can run it it in what is called "Slave" mode. If you are struggling to set it up just ask on Christian's site and you will get any questions that you have answered quickly.
