It's time for me to address a problem with a repetitive strain injury which I've suffered from for many years. Thankfully it's not affected so much by lead playing so my tribute shows aren't causing too much of a problem, but my general covers gigs require an amount of rhythm guitar and chord work, and the thin neck on my 'workhorse' relic Strat (currently my only non-Shads Strat) is exacerbating the injury.
Therefore, to match the guitar, I'm on the search for a 1960s-style, rosewood-board Strat neck, as fat as I can find.
If the right guitar were to be offered to me I might be open to buying a complete Stratocaster providing the neck is the right size (I'm dogged by the usual issue, though: my budget is rather tight, to say the least). Apart from the neck the only requirement I have for a Strat purchase is, because it's not going to be for Shadows work, it's not red!
If anyone can help please send me a PM or email shadowinghank(AT)gmail.com.
TIA.

Hi J,
It might be better to try and deal with the problem rather than adapt your equipment around it, getting older my hands were causing problems with knuckles having deep splits and severe stiffness, but I now use O’Keeffe’s Working Hands on a daily basis and this dealt with both over a couple of weeks. It’s recommended that you only use a very small amount and after a couple minutes there’s no greasiness.
Best wishes
Gary
