Hello there! - I've been trying to figure out the effects Hank used to the 7 bars intro on God Only Knows (Specs Appeal).. I only imagined "Slow Attack' and Reverse Delay.( I could be wrong). Anyone with some knowledge about this please? Any help is much appreciated.

Depending on your DAW, (I use Cubase Pro) which can process any audio ie reverse, change phase etc.you may be able to do it without any plug ins.

It sounds like some kind of envelope filter to me. It seems to act like volume swells to begin with, much like a volume pedal, then it changes to a tone control, a bit like the old DeArmond tone volume pedal. I suspect it was a varying studio effect rather than something Hank used himself.
