Hello All,
As I am new to this board I'm wondering where I can obtain Charlie Hall's EFTP patches for my YAMAHA UB99MK2H.
Thanks for your help,
Demo

Hi there Demo, Welcome to the site. Charlie is the person who can answer all your questions and supply the patches to you. I expect he will pick up on your inquiry later.( I know he has been away for a few days rest! recently) However you can send him a personal message via this site. He normally will send you the patches electronically together with loading instructions and a full reference list of suitable patches for various songs etc.
All the best,
Robert

Hi: I need some help for a Magicstomp setting of Charlie's patches. On the YMS is a 'performance' option, by holding down the left and middle switches at the same time. This sets the Box into a 1, 2, 3 in a row for 3 settings. For example: You can set 22, 23, and 24; or 25, 26, and 27. The 'PROBLEM' is: When it goes up, it goes up by 3 settings; which means you CANNOT get 24 25 26 in the same setting. Can some member suggest HOW this can be done. I do not think that we can rearrange the EFTP patches as set by Charlie and now programmed into the box AS IS, starting with U01 - U33. Looking for an answer to the situation. Regards, Ed!!!

Hi Ed, I think the easiest way would be to copy the required programs in the required order in the areas of the patches you don't use. The only problem is, I don't know how to copy a patch to another location. It should be in the manual though. Regards, Charlie

Hi Ed It seems that on the user manual at page 16..it gives you all the information you need. On page 17 ..if tells you where and how to save to a different patch number..it seems to be very straightforward and easy... Sheendigs

Sheendigs: I did check pages 16 and 17. The situation is: You can copy 'PRESETS', store, and rename them and they will be in the U section of the pedal; but you cannot copy FROM the U SECTION at all. You can erase and write over ONLY. EFTP's U01 - U33 from Charlie are not DEFAULTS like the PRESET SECTION. Still looking for an answer. Thanks again to all. Ed!!!

Hi Ed, Using the Magicstomp editor you can do whatever you like with the user patch area including copying, renaming moving , copying from another library. It is quite flexible and powerful. For a gig I make copies of the patches in set list order with each patch renamed with the song title. You can move individual patches around or copy, delete etc. If you select a patch and then right click you will see the options. Once the new list is in the order you want, save it as a new library then do a bulk send and it will be transferred to the Magicstomp. Libraries can also be imported in another little window whilst you are working on the main list and patches copied using drag and drop etc. In fact you can even do it with more than one patch at a time, moving whole blocks of patches to another starting position.
It sounds a bit complicated but is quite easy and quick to do once you get the hang of it.
I haven't ever seen the need to use the "performance" mode as this method suits my requirements better. Cheers George

Hi Ed I had an idea..but since I do not have a Magicstomp I cannot test it. Let's say you select a User patch U1..and thus it is activated.. If you press the The Store button..it seems it goes into 'Store Standby Mode'..is that correct? Then, using the plus or minus button, one cannot modify to be sent to, let us say patch U99...?? (which I would say use as a 'work' area?) Or to any other patch you would want?? Sheendigs

Good day George: Thank you for your reply and input. The problem I have with it is: I can OPEN FILE and get from Library the patch I want, highlight, right click and COPY, but; I don't get a prompt or option where to PASTE. Do I need my YMS connected to USB before I can proceed, or is there something I'm doing wrong? Thanks, Ed!!
