Hi Friends, At last, they have let me out, my last post was made during a weekend "holiday" ha ha , sadly on the Sunday evening, I collapsed and ended up being rushed to hospital in the old ambulance blues and two's the lot. It turned out that I had had an internal bleed from the liver area, they nearly lost me in the ambulance and twice more in re-sus ward I had to be revived !!!! anyway I survived the trauma had 6 pints of blood and yet another stay in hospital, I was almost 15 stone in January, I have just weighed mysely and now I am 11 st 6 lb!!!! a skeleton of my former self. anyway I do hope eveybody is well and when I get more time I will reads thro' our postings and bring myself up to speed. All the best

I was almost 15 stone in January, I have just weighed mysely and now I am 11 st 6 lb!!!! a skeleton of my former self. All the best Brian Brian, I find your methods of losing weight a bit to drastic for me, I think I'll just stick to the normal way of dieting thank-you.
Good to have you back mate. Take care.
Cheers Barry

Hi Brian, Good to see you back. I often wondered whether it was always a good or bad idea to let patients have weekend holidays, you'd think in your case they might have assessed the risks, but glad to know that they managed to revive you each time. You must take it easy from now on. Regards, Charlie

Hi Brian and a big welcome back from me as well.
I think I would be a tad scared as well my friend but, I'm sure they wouldn't let you out if there was any chance of anything bad happening.
Take it easy and let the world go by,watch some golf, eat properly, and all will be well.
Alan

WELL ,mate I have a new nick-name for you ,& I know I maybe should not make light of the seriousness of your near death experience ,,, ,but I am going to call you ''THE-PHANTOM'' [ie] the ghost who walk's.,,,.. Please accept my appologie's if this offends you brian but I feel you will see the cheering-up point to the above..
Let's hope your appetite resumes & you are able to gain some weight & energy back in your system !!!! NICE that you are at least home & let's hope no more of those rushed ambo rides ..

Hi Brian,
Good to hear from you again, albeit with not entirely good news, but I'm really glad to know you pulled through O.K. As for scared, something I've not heard for yonks comes to mind "sixpence, half crown", I won't try to explain, but I'm sure some will be familiar with the term.
I think it speaks volumes, of you, having brought us up to date to ask how we all are, I'm well Brian, thanks for asking, I hope you will be soon.
All the best, Tim.
