I have a very good BT which is predominantly acoustic guitar, electric rhythm, Bass and drums. BUT - the reverbed acoustic guitar especially is too brittle, too trebley compared to the original and I would like to take the 'edge' of that feature. Its what you would do with your guitar by turning down the 'tone' knob a little, but there is only EQ available and that changes the volume levels (doesnt it?) of frequencies and its the "Ambience" I'm trying to fix. I only have simple kit - Cakewalk GuitarPro2 (yep - that old!) or could export the track to AdobeAudutuion 1.5 if there is a simple tool that I could use. Any ideas. cheers ian

Hi Ian, If you send the backing track to me as an mp3 file nearer to the weekend I will have a look at it, and then if it is fixable I will tell you how to do it. On the other hand it might be difficult to explain (I sometimes use carefully set gates to control excess ambience) in which case it might be better (and easier for me) to temporarily upload the track as a wav file to a site like 4 shared and send me the link, then I can post the modified version on 4shared, if succesful. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie thats very kind. Its only ever been available as a 128 mp3. I'll send the file and the opening section of the Original file to 4shred so you can hear the difference. Then I'll PM you. thanks Ian

Hi Ian, Fine. Just one thing, you mention 2 files, how do they differ? It would be best to work from the original unless you have a good reason to do otherwise. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie Sorry to confuse. The one one file is the BT, the other is just a reference file of the original recording opening section so you can hear the difference in ambience. Once you hear the track you will know who it was and probably know why no genuine BT is available. cheers ian
