Hi Folks, can anyone suggest an EFTP patch suitable for "The Third Man"(Harry Lime theme). also, which pickup to use.
I would be greatful if someone could supply the tabs for this tune as well (I have the tabs as played on classical acoustic guitar, but I would much prefer the Shadows version. Thanks in advance.
Dunc.

Hi Duncan
For the RFX 2000 and Zoom 508 Charlie suggests the bridge pick-up. On the 508 the patch is D1, and on the 2000 programme 23. For the 508 that is represented by (for EFTP patches) Delay type SE Delay time 3 Delay time 79 Feedback 43 Tone 35 Effect mix 33 Seamless mode oo Hold/tap tp. For Sounds Like the Shadows (Geoff Strachan's settings) n4/4/50/14/10/50/oo/tp and for Echotapper settings
n4/4/50/14/10/40/oo/tp. I am afraid I don't know what the 2000 settings are. Hope this helps.

The RFX 2000 programme sounds nearest to the original Shads version, and Geoff Strachan's settings are nearest to the 2000 for the Zoom 508.
Again hopes this helps.

Hi Kevin, Many thanks for the info. I'll try to equate your suggested settings to the G7,although not all the settings are represented on the G7.
At least I now have a starting point to experiment with.
Thanks again.

On the 508, patch D1 is also used for The Boys, Les Girls and Round and Round.
On the G7, these tunes use patches U2.1 and U2.2, so they might be a good starting point.

Hi Dunc,
Try U6-1. That patch is equivalent to 23 on the RFX-2000.

Charlie

Hi Charlie, Thanks for your suggestion. I tried U6-1, U2-1, and U2-2 and they all sound pretty good to me!
I suppose an element of personal preference comes into it so I will make a decision on which patch to use based on audience feedback.
At least I know Im on the right track now.
Thanks again.
Regards.
