Here is yet another "Sleepwalk". Now that I have worked out how to post music files I thought I'd share this with you. A little bit of Shadows and a bit of me. Hope you like it. www.4shared.com/file/0aqdHc7J/Sleepwalk.html

Hi macnik, Very nice sound and well played. I wasn't able to play your file until after I downloaded it, realised it has no extension name, so I added the extension name .mp3 to it so it would then play. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie, Thank you for your nice comment. It's given me an incentive to carry on and perhaps post some more. I don't understand how you put in an extension, could you please explain. I use an Apple Mac, so I'm not sure whether this makes a difference. I expect there is a similar problem with the file I've posted in members only section as I did it at the same time. Still not mastered 4Shared. Thanks again. Ian

Hi Ian, I don't know about file names for Macs. When I looked at the file it just had the name without an extension, which in Windows, has to be the name followed by .mp3, for example, before it can work in any program. So with your file, I renamed it to Sleepwalk.mp3 so it would play on my Windows Media Player which is the program that is automatically selected for playing mp3 files on my Windows XP computer. Perhaps someone who knows more about it could explain. Regards, Charlie

Hi Ian, Very well played and excellent sound! What material did you use to get that sound? Regards. Claude - Brussels

Hi Charlie I'll go to 4Shared and try to figure it out. I find the site is more helpful to Windows users rather than Mac users, but there must be a way. Perhaps some Mac user on the forum will be able to answer. Thanks for your suggestion.

Hi Claude, Thank you for your very nice comment which I appreciate. This is my first attempt at recording with a Vox ToneLab that I have just bought. I used the AC15 amp sim with tones set to my liking. A Japanese '62 type Reissue with Fender '57/'62 pickups using the middle pickup with volume and tone set at 10 on the guitar. An old Quadreverb+ with Charlie's EFTP "Sleepwalk" patch and recorded/mixed into a Fostex 8 track HD recorder and copied to a Philips digital audio cd recorder as a master. Then transferred to my iTunes library. Hope this is useful to you. Regards Ian

G'day Ian A beautiful rendition of "Sleepwalk" your tone is just right.
I had to do the same as Charlie and download it to add the file extension "mp3" to this file not a problem though well worth the exercise ;D ;D ;D

Hi there Keith Thanks for your kind comment especially about the tone. It's taken time to get the tone I'd be happy with. I'm still unable to add the file extension to the track, so think I'll ask the question in a separate post. Thanks again for listening.
Regards Ian

I've found out that the file extensions can be hidden on a Mac, and have enabled them to be seen, so the problem should be solved hopefully.

Hi Ian,
I really like the laid back way you play this, "hanging on till you can see the whites of the eyes" before letting the note go - without losing the timing. Lovely tone too. Thanks for sharing this.
Kind regards,
Chris

Hi Chris Love your comment. That's exactly what I try to do with the timing just to make my versions a little different. I know it's nothing new, but it's my way of playing.
Thanks again.
Regards Ian
