Hi All,
I thought this would be a good thread to start up. I will add to it in due course. In the meantime take a look at Charlies thread on simple guitar theory and dare I say it my thread on Equal temperament tuning as examples of what might good stuff to post. Both are at the top on the general listing.
Make it creative !!
Cheers guys
George.

Thanks TonyL - terrific Link. That shads tab / midi link is really useful. I believe all this stuff adds up to a useful library we could all tap into and use. Ideal for all levels of player. I may ask Charlie to sticky this thread so it does not disappear out of site. Thanks for the input so far. Please keep it coming I feel we all have something to offer. All the best George

Hi Guys
Posting links to other useful sites is OK but can we add some tuition, instruction or playing tips etc. on this thread? Perhaps with a link to another site for further info on the subject.
We can also consider Practice technique hints and tips.
We are all Shadows addicts, but can anyone give guidance / tuition on any of the following:
JAZZ *GYPSY JAZZ (Django) BLUES COUNTRY ACOUSTIC FOLK ROCK and of course SHADOWS / VENTURES / ATLANTICS and so on.
*I have heard that Hank B is into Gypsy Jazz and has been since 2004.
Charlie, Maybe this thread should be in the TUITION section ?
All the best George.

HI ALL ,,,,, With a very successfull site as we have here ,with the great format it has due to the ''Honesty-Friendly- ness''of all member's & moderater's ,the Threads cover most all aspect's of the guitar-related issue's Technical section's ,Tune-posting of such hi-quality ,etc etc. GREAT Question and answer Threads answered by either ''Honest-Charlie'' & the pletherer of Experienced Member's with all those year's of experience to hand on to our lesser experienced member's as myself ! I feel it would be very-hard to improve-on??? and as the old saying go's ''WHEN-ON-A-GOOD-THING-STICK-TO-IT'' .. comes to mind !.. Never the-less maybe a section for ''LINK'S'' as above could not be too-bad an idea....
I am so pleased to have been a very early member from back in the MSN day's untill now & have watched the site grow & improve to the standard it is Today.. Mainly due to the Honest & friendly action's of Charlie, moderator's and member's ''GREAT-STUFF-GUY"S'' may it continue ... CHEERS TO ''ALL'' from ''aussie''-barry..

Hi George, A good thread to start A few sites that are search engines to get free MIDI files, very useful for anyone making their own BT's and for those who use Tabs or notation can be used with a program like Guitar Pro 5 (around £60) to get the tabs/notation for any virtual instrument on the MIDI file and print (and edit the MIDI file if required). www.mididb.com/www.midimole.com/www.musicrobot.com/www.free-midi.org/www.midisite.co.uk/Kind regards, Chris

Hi Everyone, Without doubt this site is a pleasure for so many, there is nothing missing at all, and anything that can be added to benefit us all is just perfect.
I have my thinking cap on, however that could take some time so bear with me :-)

Hi Steve
Anything you can add on technique, things you have discovered that assist with playing.?
e.g If you mute the 6th string with the thumb and 3rd string with the 3rd finger while playing the gallop on Apache on the 4th and 5th strings (3rd fret) with the 2nd and 3rd fingers it helps to play it smoother as it doesn't matter if you catch a wrong string either side with the pick.
Basic stuff and I know there are alternatives, but sure could help the "new guy"
Cheers George.
