A chum of mine was offered a Zoom G2 pedal from a friend and he asked me whether it was good for Shadows patches . . . Anyone have any experience with this pedal. Can it be programmed for Shadows echoes . . . are there existing patches for it?
Thanks, Bojan

Hi Bojan, It's a good little pedal for the cost. I have about 29 programs for it for £15GBP. The programs have to be manually put into the pedal from settings on a list and should take about 1-2 hours. You can email me charliehallATntlworld.com (replacing AT with @) for more details. Thanks Charlie! I'll get in touch if the deal with the pedal goes through for my friend Roka!

Charlie, in what way is the G2 different from the G7? Is the G2 also a multi-effects pedal or is it just a delay pedal? Does the G2 have the same delay possibilities as the G7?

Hi Bojan, The G2 is a very much trimmed down version of the G7.1ut. The G2 has fewer amp models, and it is not possible to have all the EQ facilities and speaker sim at the same time. There are fewer settings for most of the parameters. The delay times are to the nearest 10ms instead of 1ms. The G2 does not have a valve, although I find the valve feature of the G7.1ut doesn't really add that much. But the G2 is very impressive for what it costs! Regards, Charlie
