HI TO ALL THE guy's who post sound files ..I appoligise for not commenting very often as my satelite provider[broad-band] only allow's me 500mb,a month at the speed to be able to down-load sound-files & that is used up in the first week or so & then I get reduced to dial-up speed,[SLOOOOOOWWWW] & cannot listen... I am keen to hear the ''atlantic's'' tunes as well as tony's ,marcello's etc etc... WHEN my broadband contract runs out I will change to ''wireless'' which is much faster ...as it is I am paying $35.00 per month, for only 500 mb .& that's ''R/S'' cheers barry..

I got a better deal with Virgin (formerly ntl, who I have always been with) by having a TV package added, and saving about £10 a month. Also, I did not have to sign a new contract for it. Regards, Charlie

HI BRIAN & CHARLIE,,,, yes brian I have tried but where I live there are not many options ,lucky to get broadband here the phone-lines won't carry broadband ,,only dial-up & slow at that...
CHARLIE, our other option is telstra next G,, wireless, or what i have now ''satelite'',, in ''adelaide'' virgin have a good-deal wireless bundled with phone, but no tower's in the area here....,only testra & I will change to wireless at the end of my contract ... it is faster but still 50.00 dollar's for 1 gig...,,,,,,the government are ment to be doing something about ''country-area's,,, probably when ''hell-freezes-over'',,ie ''not any-time-soon,,
cheers & a good 09 to you both.........................barry..

Barry, when you say $50 for one gig, is that per month!!!! or quarter ? When you think of it, who on earth wants to "lay out" on providing a service to a few "settlers" ;D who choose to live in the outback , Broadband from what I can gather ( ludite here ) speed depends on distance from the exchange, I think... Charlie, My daughter had a short time with Virgin but hit all sorts of problems, and ,did not our "friend" who shall not be mentioned have a pile of trouble with said company?? personally I do believe it depends mainly on your location, up here in the sticks I consider myself lucky to be able to get a decent service Have a good one Brian

HI brian ,, yes thats 50.00 aud per month for 1 gig.... And I as you am lucky to get broadband up here in the stick's ....,MY present speed is supposed to be 512/128 ,on fast ,but I do not get that speed it sometimes is 400 odd at off- peak-times , but after I use my 500mb I am down to 56 ie dial-up speed ?,,, I should'nt complain as I was never having a computer a couple years ago but finding these sites on guitar-echo etcetc & meeting all you fella's out there I would now be lost w/out it, as frustrating as at times it is... well the service could be much worse ,I guess ,I will go for wireless as soon as my contract run's out.... cheers brian ..............barry..

Hi Brian, I don't remember our "friend" mentioning a problem, but if you do, then you must be right. Regards, Charlie
