Totally different Roger, it looks like my 3 4 5 are the same height, 6th slightly lower, the top E just risen and the B at -zero! I'll have to check the others.

The later one in the picture has chamfers, mine has just a small radius around the edge.

Nice article about the green Marvin....sadly it's not Hanks one! So they want a boatload with money for a rare green burst. Some things are so obvious different then the one of Hank. First Hanks Marvin had a horizontal switch slot Bruce's too! Secondly Hanks Marvin top horn plate was almost against the mid part plate! Thirdly Hanks Marvin had the larger late REZ-O-MATIC script on the pickup covers like Mika's guitar! Forth Hanks both Marvin's had in the middle position a neck pickup with the narrow string spacing magnets.
Bruce turn his guitar in for service and never got it back from Burns/Baldwin,it was sold to a British guitar player. Bruce's guitar is now resided in Japan.

The green marvin doesn't look "completely untouched" to my eyes! The output jack looks as if it has been changed to a different type! And it took some woodwork on the body to make it fit!
So there is there is still room for negotiation...

Only four months difference between that guitar and mine but in that time the wiring and switch have changed.

Hi David,
Fitting problems with the pick guards and pu's are quiet common on the production line....especially on the Marvin's. You would think everything was routed as planned. Nope, many inconsistencies have bin noticed regarding bodies, pick guards, placements of the toast rack etc. I've seen the black tremelo surounding nearly fall off the body edge, because the body was smaller then usual. Electrics where mounted on plates sometimes weeks before they where used. In later production the use Wima instead of mustrad color caps, so a different output jack is not that strange of factory...
Cheers Rob

May I ask which string gauge you prefer to use on your 1964 Marvin? Just by the way and out of interest
Kind regards, Bernie
