Claude Can I ask you what you expect from the unit? I have a Boss CS3 which is the same thing and I no longer use it for Shadows type of music. I used to use it on muted parts only but I don't anymore. I find it does nothing useful in my set-up. The only compression I use is on mix-down on the whole mix on recordings. have a look at this thread. It may answer your question and a few more. charliehall.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=6289I would say keep it anyway as ideas and fashions can change over time. all the best George.

Hi George, As a matter of fact, I expect a sound that is soft, fluid, non metallic. Apparently this is not the right unit for that! Thanks anyway for your kind reply. Best regards. Claude

Hi Claude.
I use the CS100 model but the setting I use are as follows. It maybe a starting point for you.
TONE - MAX ATTACK- 2 O'CLOCK SUSTAIN - 2 O'CLOCK
