Hi Charlie. ive searched all over the web for a Magicstomp. there is one?? however its on the board here NOT to go 4 it, as you said its a bummer and NOT, registered by you. as for the Amp/s the Tube amp is a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe/ factory speaker. settings for my room are. vol=2 drive =3 treb =3 bass=6 mid=5 reverb=0 presence=5. overall it sounds ok. can't realy turn it up right now Mrs would go nutts. the other amp is a Pevey stereo chorus 212. very big and heavy solid state, i cant realy give you an answer on this as ive only ever used it 3 times, maybe when the Mrs goes shopping this weekend ill crank them both up. so most of my tracks/playing are done with headphones into my Boss br900 recording unit. i don't gig outside the room anymore. cant handle all the lugging around!!!! im not sure that what ive said will give you any ideas!!! think what would be best is to maybe do a sound file with guitars, using what i have hooked up. the sound file i sent you. to clean up for me you thought the sound was quite good. but a lot of noise you removed from the track. glad i posted this enquiery, as i was about to go and Buy the Zoom today??? now im more confused as what to do!!! maybe im trying to acheive the sounds of some of these files posted. by doing it Live and Not via cubase/ or some other Pc doctoring!! to me personaly if you got to doctor a file too much it spoils the whole thing!!! . anyway thanks for the post and ill be keeping an eye out for more comments thanks Charlie.. regards Lou

H i Tony. thanks for your post. i totaly agree with chain of events. i have 3 Usa strats and a Brand New G@L Legacy strat. so i think so far im in the right ball park. i think my overall sound is not Bad. and have had some nice comments re sound from my files posted. ive swaped more strings/brands/guages thani could even remember. but there is just something im missing Ahhhh!!!! Yes its the Holy Grail. the one we are all chasing. you know what i meen, when we are happy one moment and down the next,. in a nut shell i just cant seem to get the real full base note tones, without having the top strings sound like a thin tin can!!! so i was wondering if the Zoom will give me the rich warm tones im looking for. and use the Quad for the echoe;s, as Charlie said he didn't think the Zoom echoe's were as good!. seems most people who post some cracking files on here use the Zoom. Now the other part here is i use only live recordings. i dont use a computer to enhance/fake/remodel sounds After i record. i want the real sound!!!! i record to a Flash drive and only use Audacity to convert to mp3. many thanks for the post and Kind regards Lou

Hi Chris. thanks for the come back. ive looked the world over for a Magic stomp. no go. so thought maybe the Zoom would work for me. i have a Line 6 pro rack unit. but i dont think its all that good. im looking for the more Warm tones ive either got a low muddy/woody sound or too thin sound. and the bit in between just does'nt cut it. weve talked so often you and me about finding this before, well i got to keep going till i find it. again thanks for the input.. regards Lou

Hi Charlie. i meant to ask you in the e-mail for the tone and amp/cabs. then still use the Quadraverb for the echoe's or is this defeating the whole object?? thanks Lou

Hi Roger, very well played and the sound is very very close. to me this track is a tuff nut to crack. personaly and this is Only my view. if you could re work the file and add a little more Depth or maybe reverb to the Guitar you would Nail it. but all in all very very good. Kind regards Lou
ps where in west mids are you!!!

Hi Charlie/rog. i agree with you its a good effort and tone wise ok. it's just missing something?? i just feel compared to other great files it needs sustain! or whatever. just feel the notes drop off too soon. i have Your eftp on my Quad, and like you, have No idea re the Stomp. what is needed is guys with the stomp to make a comment or two! im very happy with your eftp's on the quad. in fact its been a new revelation for me! i dont want to stop playing now... think Rog is going to try out things with what he has! regards Lou

Hi Rog. No its not you holding onto the note longer!!! its in the Patch?? or in the stomp unit. maybe ask others who use the stomp which patch they use/prefer. its Equipment problem not you. if you are using it straight into the PC maybe you can add some Sustain. all my tracks are LIVE. i do not add any PC gimicks. only to upload recording then convert to mp3. my set up is Fender strats 3 and my new G&L legacy strat. into Quad [eftp] into B0ss 900cd recorder, fender tube delux amp. and record . just got an Aleises compressor yesterday. to hook up later.. keep trying and take a few tabblets you'll be fine. we've all been there, and in a lot of cases still are.. cheers Lou

Hi Rog. this tune Will Drive you nuts!! don't think the tone is the problem! its leaving the notes too short, they die off too quick. im no expert just a novice compared to the real guys on here. all you need to get is More Sustain. dont forget everyone has there own ideas and the way they hear things. me and Grip aka= Chris will tell you we have had many a night in the Padded Cell trying to get THE Sound!! chris is still taking the tabblets!!! but comming around now!! lol. maybe Charlie can comment he's the wiz on the patches. however dont go messing the whole thing up now. just a tweek here and there and you'll have it. kind regards Lou
ps my family still live in sheldon, and Solihull, accross from the defunct Rover plant next to solihull town FC ground. small world eh!!!!

Hi Rog. first off. very well played. secondly untill we are Blue in the face. this tune will never bee captured 100% by anyone. allthough there are some fantastic efforts out there. now to the point of your track, as said well played, however i feel you are lacking the right Echo??? or for some reason not enuff sustain [lenghth of note/echo ] seems the notes fall short and die off too soon. but still good effort.. regards Lou
ps. where in the west mids are you!! i was born and raised next door to B.ham Airport..

Hi Clive. if your having problems, and taking a long time to upload your music. there is another quicker way, how i do it with my Boss br900cd. just get a cable from your headphone jack on the Br 600 and go straight into the sound card [mike ] input of pc.. run Audacity press record , then hit play button on Br600. its now ready to export to your folder in wave format. as described before its probably going onto your flash card, then you gotta upload into Br folder etc, pain in the A@@@e . hope my two cents are any good.. Regards Lou

Hi Roger. i think you have done a real good job. if there is to be any nit picking if you like, maybe the muted parts need a little more POP to them. but quite frankly don't get to worked up about it. as said its a very good file. well done. regards Lou
