Hi Pete. well i called the store and spoke to my buddie/salesman. told him about them and No problemo he said. money back. he spoke to the guitar tech in the store, and he said they definatley remember taking them out of a fender, and putting them in the box!! and the box and paperwork deffinatly say Fat 50? anyway as i say Money back no questions, even though i got them about 2 months ago.. so fair do's. regards lou.. Hi John. thanks for your reply. i did actualy look at his site. do you think they are as good or better than the 50's? i have installed the Noiseless Mod shop samariums. and i do like them. for the top end, as they dont sound as tinny/thin as regular pups. however the downside is they just don't seem to have that lovely bottom end tone. it's a little like You Can't have your cake and eat it?? but thats the problem I DO!!! Was gonna order the Kinsman pups?? but most guys are all in favour of the Fat 50's? not like buying a car eh! unless they got fenders in the store with these Pups? you gotta buy and install to find out? so its a little word of mouth we have.. again Guy's many thanks for all input... cheers lou

Hi Guys. a while ago i got a set of Fender fat 50s. and put them into my usa strat. sounded awfull??? so installed Cobalt noiseless.. not bad... then i found out i may not have given the fat 50's a fair crack of the whip. Now my question is. and ive tried searching the web. How can i tell if i have actualy got fat 50's.. ?? here are the readings i get with multimeter... Bridge.. 63k Mid 46k Neck 68 k.. Now as best as i can find out. im told they should be 6K neck 6.3K mid 6.3 K.. bridge.. would like to confirm before i try and install again... tnx in advance... Lou

Hi Charlie. yup its a catch 22 situation. the problem with these types of files etc, is knowing from where it came?? we all know we can download backing trax for 95p to 5 quid. [royalty's] if you like. i have a legal program to REMOVE VOCALS from almost any song? doe's that meen im legal to use the track!!! i think not.. like a lot of radio stations here in canada, north america. they play 24hr oldie's cuz apparently after a set number of yrs. i think 10. they don't have to pay ROYALTY'S . It's a subject that could be debated for yrs? or unless you are a legal eagle. how doe's one know if its ok to use. if there is no Label saying otherwise.. im sure you have used tracks like this. and don't know from where they originated? its a tough call wouldn't you agree!!! its not like we are making millions selling our own files??? shared... m or otherwise.. how do we know where half the files/tracks we download are of Pirate oregin!!! realy is a tough call... just my 5 quids worth... regards lou...

Hi Spike.. well how do you interprit copywrite!! usualy something like this is No Problem. for OWN USE! AS LONG AS THE PERSON using it. Doesn't USE IT FOR GAIN or Reward. if it has offended anyone you have done the right thing in removing it. some video's/dvd's books etc may have a warning lable that NO PART shall be copy'd others may say Intended for Own Private use!! i have downloaded stuff from the web that are Genuine tracks with or without vocals/guitar etc. Free!!!.. again you thought it was ok to do so as i suppose most of us would do.. if you got it for free/ or it was downloaded for free. i see NO proplemo!!! cheers lou

Hi guys, i was going to put some new strings on my Fender strat! going to fit 50/10"s however the groove/slot in the nut wont allow the strings to fit? i dont want to go and open up the groove and cobble it up. seems to make the base strings twangy and cheap sounding. any idea"s regards lou

Hi Grip. well its not a bad effort at all! and sound and tone are close. its strange that certain numbers give you the Screeming hab-dabs?? i have that with the gallop in apachie! yet i find this one easy to play. of course we all have our own ways and sounds. but realy it's a good effort. and well done.. lou

Hi guys regarding the lace sensors. i have a custom built Eric Clapton signature series strat. and to be honest they are not what you may say totaly noiseless, and im not over keen on the sound, after all they are typical Clapton sound. and if you leave the guitar lead plugged in when not in use the 9vlt battery goes dead and its a pain in the rectum to change. however its a nice axe, re the first noisless i cant say.. just my 2 cents worth.... cheers lou
