I was told that production models would take around 5 weeks to be made after ordering, but I am still waiting for 4 production samples. I can't order until they are known to be without issues. This has been held up partly because of a change of supplier for the metal casing. It is sorted out as far as I know, just taking a bit longer, so I think the end of January is no longer a realistic aim. Regards, Charlie

Hi Rob, Nothing is ever as straightforward as it would appear. Most of the problems we have had with getting this up and running haven't been discussed at all! I will be recording a demo of Happy Birthday To You very soon. Regards, Charlie

Hello Charlie. Sorry to bother you, but, can we assume you have received your first 4 prototype? We are all anxious to know, are they OK, can we look forward to a sample recording?
Regards.Tuffty.

Hi Tuffty, The first 4 prototypes have been with us for quite some time and I can make demo recordings with the one I have. It's the 4 production prototypes that are still to come. I want to know they are all working without problems and that they will represent the look of all production models. One production circuit board has already been tested a few weeks ago and it works fine, so it's probably more to do with cosmetics than anything else, as well as to take pics of one to show everyone. Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie So what do you now consider to be the new release date for the unit? I am by nature a very patient fellow but my excitement on getting this unit is testing this persona lol,

Hi Carlos, There is a lot going on behind the scenes. I should have 4 production samples maybe in the next week or two depending entirely on how quickly the casing manufacturer comes up with the cases, painted and screen printed. After that, if we are happy with everything on the samples, I am told it should take about 5 weeks for the first run to be produced. We are also still working on the instruction manual but that should be done by the time everything else is ready. Regards, Charlie

I know excitement is mounting, but can I suggest, for Charlie's sake, that everyone calms down with the "when is the unit ready", "am I definately on the list" type questions - the more space we give Charlie where he doesn't have to answer unnecessary posts (29 pages so far on this thread alone ......) then the more time he has to finalise the unit Once it's close the being available, I'm sure everyone will be made fully aware - I just think this must be distracting........

Well said Mark, it will be ready when it's ready and like you I'll wait until Charlie lets me know. People need to understand how much the influence of outside parties can make to the development of the unit, they too have to overcome problems but knowing Charlie, when he's satisfied there are no issues we will have perfection, as close as it is possible to achieve it. Patience is a virtue.

Charlie Why don't you make a link that only you could update saying something like: Pedal Status Update and then change it at your will..thus one could see how things are going on without diverting you too much on another matters?? Sheendigs

I will take a picture of the first unit I receive that represents accurately the finished product and post it. As much as it looks like nothing much is happening I can assure everyone that a lot is going on to do with getting the unit up and running and ready to sell. I have also been trying to do a demo recording but Sonar keeps telling me it cannot complete a recording and that my hard disk may be full, which it isn't. I am currently trying to sort it out. Regards, Charlie

I have an update to the recording situation. I have set up a second hard drive D: which Sonar now uses instead of the usual C: drive. The problem is solved and I am able to record properly now. I should have a demo ready maybe tomorrow. Regards, Charlie

I am recently an old guy, and have taken up guitar which I used to play in my youth. I have discovered "That Sound" of Hank Marvin, and have become obsessed. I am in the very early stages of learning about all the history and personalities and stories involved in this very interesting musical evolution. I have my Strat, and my AC15, and have tried numerous echo units and some will come close, but none of them are just right. It kind of impairs the pleasure of playing when all you can focus on is the fact that the sound is lacking "something". I can just imagine everyone reading this post going "welcome to the club" ... hahaha. I have made inquiries about purchasing a TVS3 (even though I would go broke in the process). I am very interested in the new unit from Mr. Hall! I've listened to your demo, and it's wonderful. Can you give me an update on the availability schedule, will you be accepting orders from the US (what is price in US dollars?). If possible to still do so, please put my name on your list. Great job, thank you.

Hi lw, Welcome, and thanks for your enquiry. That echo sound on the demo is an emulation of an old Meazzi Echomatic 2 from the early 60s. Almost impossible to find now. I know someone who has been in the process of restoring one for the last 10 years and I have got interesting engineering data from it. We hope the Hall & Collins echo unit will be ready for sale some time in March and should cost around £599 GBP including VAT at 20%. I believe VAT would not be charged to customers outside the EU. I have added your name to my list. I intend to let everyone on the list know when I have a price and a release date. Regards, Charlie
