Sorry but I retained the old site version as long as possible, now we have no choice, we have to use the new version or the old site would probably have disappeared after which time it could have been too late to save it.
Have another look around, I have made several changes in the last half hour or so to try to get back to the old look as much as I know how at this time.
If after a few hours you see something that we might be able to change to look a bit different then please suggest it. I can't promise we can do it but we will try.

I notice that now on the mobile app the board name no longer appears. The Perth Shadows site is the same.

The site logo shows on my mobile but not in the full width. I don't think my mobile is set specially to see the site as mobiles usually set them up though.
Not sure what can be done.

Hi Bill,
I see the name in text on the first page of my mobile but apparently that is not my home page because when I click on the Home button I see the name in text superimposed on the logo (or rather part of it as before). I don't understand these different mobile formats. The site looks fine and unchanged on my desktop computer.
Not sure what to suggest as it looks like it can't be set up to suit everyone.

Hi Charlie, I used to find the "View the last 40 posts" feature useful and that seems to have disappeared. If you can find a way to add that or similar, and preferably extend it to 60 posts as I have seen other ProBoards forums, or is that fora, that would be great. Happy New Year to everyone  |

Hi Sandra, I think I found the new equivalent, although I never used the old one. Near the bottom of the Home Page you will see the section Forum Information & Statistics. At the top of that section you will see Threads and Posts. Go down to the LIne Recent Threads - Recent Posts - RSS Feed - Mark All Boards Read. If you click on Recent Posts you should get all the posts going back as far as you want. Try it and let me know if it does what you are asking for. As long as I can read it, how it looks is unimportant to me, however, I do miss the 'view new topics/replies' thing - a lot more convenient than trawling through all the different sections.

Hi Charlie, I know it's early days but here's another observation:-
One thing I notice, when a PM is sent to you it doesn't show as "New Message" in fact it doesn't show at all, you have to go to > Send Message > Personal Message > Inbox, in other words you have to keep checking your mail ?
It would be good if an email notification could also be set up as on some other forums.

Regards, Charlie hi charlie happy new year, looks like you have had your hands full with change over. when i said i have to agree with rick about !!change for the sake of it!! it wasnt a moan i knew it wasnt you tinkering for the sake of it, and was something pro boards brought about. i agree with whats been said once its been up a while it will be all ok. i have gone on to windows 8 which not everyone likes but once you get used to it its ok. but in todays world things do get changed a lot and i dont always understand why, other than for the sake of it. happy new year to all. peter |

I too don't see any problem with the new layout, there may be one or two things to get used to, but on the whole the new layout looks clean and fresh.
The the only downside is that it looks a though there is no option to stay logged in.

Phil Hi Phil, There is a Messages icon (in plain text at the moment but I plan to tart the plain text up a bit later if possible) near the top of the Home Page. If you have any new messages the number of them should appear there. It has been working like that for me since the upgrade. If you go to edit your profile there is a Notifications tab where you can select many things to be notified of by email. I think they are set to be notified by forum by default. The items include (at least on my list, and I have removed a couple that I do not think members other than admin would see): when someone likes your content when someone quotes you when someone tags you when someone follows you when someone becomes your friend when a member requests to join a group you lead when a member joins a group you lead when you are added to a group when you unlock an achievement when involved in Badge related activities when a bookmark is updated when a thread you have participated in is updated* when you receive a Personal Message when there are reported posts Maybe some of those could be useful? Thanks Charlie, I did mention in my second post that the "Messages" were now visible. It looks like the upgrade should be better than the old one with more info etc, are you planning to add members locations under the avatar as before?
