Hi Julian Reading the replies to this thread so far it would seem the Jazzmaster is prefered.Although the Johnny Marr signature Jaguar seems to stand out.Excuse me for asking Julian have you done any recordings using your Jazzmaster?it reads like a very good guitar in its own right. Does it sound like one? Regards Pete

Launched in 1962 The Fender Jaguar was designed as the ultimate Fender six string guitar.Fifty years on they made a 50th anniversary model.I read a number of well know guitar players have used and recorded with it. What I would like to know from any members who has one or as used one or any opinions Good or Bad.I must say I'm not thinking of getting one, just to see if what Fender say about it match's up.It does look a very interesting guitar but at what price dare I ask. author=didier There was one as the raffle first prize at the recent Swisshads meeting I attended on June 15th. Unfortunatly I didn't win it. Otherwise I would have had no exuse left for not trying again to try to learn playing ! (after a first failed attempt 50 years ago) Didier Go on Didier give it a go and try and learn to play and you will find the Squier CV 50's a good guitar to learn on it's not that hard it's just a mind set to achieve anything you want and I'm sure a man of your caliber can do it. Pete

This is what happened to me when the PO left a card to collect a parcel from the depot. After travelling 9 miles to collect it they said it was not there but at another location. The reason they had left the wrong card was because they had run out of the correct cards when i mentioned why that had not written this on the card I was told well they had at least told me.Another 10 miles to the right place, while waiting the chap in front of me had is card but was told he did not have the right personel ID and to go and get it.He looked straight at the PO worker and said it would still be him when he comes back,I just had to laugh Pete

As member Bill as asked what is your line of thinking regarding this. What do you want to achieve? There are lots of members with plenty of knowledge and experience only to willing to help and advise.Don't be afraid to ask any question. Hi Peter Salmon Pink!! Had a look at one online.Your need your dark glasses on when you play it,not to shield the glare, but to hide from anyone who might see you playing it.Only joking my friend. Cheers and good luck with your newly acquired HBM Squier Strat Pete

Obviously Mixed opinions on Hanks new Album, some stronger than others but still only there own opinions as a generalization of there interpretation of music they like or may be don't like. That's the beauty of this site to have debate without getting personal.I'm sure most members enjoy a wide range of musical tastes and have various collections of music from various artists. Keep Smiling Pete

quote author=scouserjoe Well, to be perfectly honest all the tracks sounded the same to me and listening to this for more than a few minutes would drive me bananas and leave me needing a stiff dram of my favourite malt to calm the nerves !! I wish Hank every success with it - this may be the way he has chosen to develop his music (and that's just fine) but it's not my cuppa tea - I'm sorry. I won't be buying it just because it's Hank Marvin. Cheers, Ian Hi Scouserjoe After listening I think you were very politely restrained in your remarks about it. I think the participation of strong alcohol is required as you said to settle the nerves.Something different by Hank but not one that will leave lasting memories. Pete

Hi Tommy I enjoyed listening to your rendition of this late great Matt Monro classic "Walk Away" your guitar playing and tones have done it really proud.Well put together along with the video, with a picture of you with long hair probably in the late 60's early 70's I would imagine. Cheers Pete
