Sad the original Cavern was knocked down I thought it would have been heritage listed or something? Matthew Sadly when it was not kept as it was it was enterprising of those who went and tried to build a near replica of something like what the Cavern might have looked like for those who missed out on the original and those who have come later to get a idea of what it was like. !! Having visited it one thing that it does show is how small it was for a City the size of Liverpool and the surrounding area mind you back in the 60's these kind of clubs was ground breaking and a forerunner of bigger clubs to come nobody knew back then how long it would last or where it would lead to Pete

Have had a few spells like that drifting in and out of playing sometimes lasting a year or more even to the point of thinking about packing it in altogether

There's nothing wrong with the stock tuners. It's one of the best guitars I've got for holding its tune. Len Same here Len never had any problems with mine in fact it feels and sounds really good one of my all time favourites Pete

Don't know if it's the right time but It would a idea if we gave a bit of thought to how we could come up with something from the forum to remember Steve either a donation to his family or a charity etc.etc. !! I feel sure Charlie and other members can some time in the future contact a member of the family or something to find out what might be appropriate etc.

The trick is to chew your gum in time with the music. . Very important !!! The idea is to keep it moist otherwise … Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight? If your mother says don't chew it, Do you swallow it in spite?… 🤣🤣🤣 😂😂

We must be a bit special because when ever some people find out you can play a guitar they say they wish they could and you start to explain how to go about it and they come back and say no its to difficult you must be dedicated to learn all that and turn it into something worth playing and listening to and it costs a bob or two for all the guitars and equipment etc.and the long many hours of practice and playing and so on and on ....................

Hi Roberto Sorry to read that you have decided to stop playing but at least you have the memories of the sense of achievement and pleasure and happiness it brought you as shown in your many recordings. Its good to read that you are now involved in your garden and I feel sure you will devote as much time and energy to it as you did with playing the guitar. My best wishes to you and I respectfully call you a friend as a fellow member of this site

The impression of 'Rock Stars'/ artists being a Happy go lucky bunch of people is definitely a myth not all of them but a lot are very much £MONEY orientated some to the point of being obsessive about it.I think a lot of you can think of the names of a few at least it's no wonder they protect there work/assets so vigorously the entertainment/music business is a MultiMillion Dollar/Pound industry with nearly every angle of the business covered by all sorts of rule, laws and legal writs.

Hi Pete Live and entertaining just as it comes it is what it is and what ever happens you carry on with a smile on your face after all nothing you can do other than fall apart and that would be even worse it even happens to the best even HBM live just one of those things that goes with playing the guitar.

Hi Pete, yes, not sure how I can fix it, I tried to link the video, I can get it to work on here but its into my facebook account, I'm not sure its the best way. The video was done by a friend at the club on the evening and I think its because of Facebook protection of the video source owner, why it wont let you view it. I will try to see if I can find a way around it. cheers Pete ps, I tried to delete the post but you cant delete a post. Stick with it Pete I'm sure there is a way of sorting it out and then we can share your Tribute GIG

The Fender Stratocaster is so iconic and established as one of or even the leading guitar it is not a suprise or wonder to find that others would try to make there own different version of it putting artists names to the make of a certain model of guitar as become a trend which seems to appeal to some people.

Plenty of good advice from members on this subject Just a few suggestions on going about it and the enjoyment and pleasure you get in the pursuit of your mission to get that sound your seeking 1st the guitar try for the best Fender/Squier Stratocaster your budget can afford fit it with possibly 10-46 or higher strings. 2nd a good amp I read you have a VOX VT 20+ set on the Preset AC 30 setting and see how you get on 3rd A echo unit lots out there New or SH with or without pre programmed patches what you can afford 4th one thing I think I might add is a EQ unit if your budget can stretch to it Just my opinion Good luck and have fun
