Hi Ian Looks a beautiful Telecaster to get your hands on and give it a good work out not sure about the C & W though it might be better More like the Blues I think.
The nearest I have got to one is a Squier CV 50's Tele lovely looking guitar and it plays and sounds a treat.

Taking everything into consideration the build the finish and the price it is IMO well worth it I have a number of guitars and this one I really rate highly, you could argue that it's not a direct copy of a classic series or a Reissue but then those are already on the market at there own prices and if you was going to do a complete replication there would be not a lot of point because they already exist so it is what is to try and keep comparing it is not really logical, best to just judge it on its on merits and what it is advertised as a NEW MIM FSR Limited Edition 50's Stratocaster for those who would like one you pay your money and you make your own choices Gorgeous limited-edition Strat' in dazzling Fiesta Red Classic Strat' ergonomically designed double-cutaway body profile offers peerless playing comfort Lightweight alder body delivers balanced Strat' tones Maple neck with classic Soft "V" profile and 7.25-inch radius Beautiful maple fingerboard with dot position inlays to guide your way Trio of American Vintage '56 pickups that offer classic Strat' tone Superb 6-saddle tremolo guarantees peerless intonation, sustain, and vibrato Includes Pro Series' tweed hardcase to protect your pride and joy Pete

Hi Tony The lead seems to deep in the mix on this one to me.,That said it's a interesting number from what I hear I think with a bit of correction or remixing it could make a lot of difference.

I think it's a phase a lot of us go through from time to time and there is NO one certain answer it's down to each individual some leave altogether others go for periods without playing some even lasting years. The one thing I remember was said to me was if your no longer for one reason or another enjoying it pack it in for a while and see how you feel later on it's not worth forcing your way through things don't sell your kit just try and look after it

I think with it all,it's take it,or leave it,just another guy with something to say about things a self appointed equipment reviewer I don't know what his pedigree is but I would think there might be a lot more qualified people out there who could probably do a similar or better job but Hey it's no harm which way you look at it viewed with a open and unbiased mind as he says and it can be a entertaining guide to things it's just how serious you take it.

6 to 9 months wait Eh!! Most of the time is waiting in the queue before your order gets to the limited amount of guys who build them. Then it only takes a certain amount of time after that to complete Order it now and pay up front and they have your money for 6 to 9 months before you get it.
I had a similar experience some years ago when I ordered a Burns payed on the day I ordered it and waited nearly 9 months for it to be delivered the reason given was they had to have sufficient orders before making and shipping.

I think the difference comes in what can be described as a bespoke guitar, basically, prepared and made literally from scratch to the buyers requirements and then what is called a custom guitar made from pre-made parts and assembled to the customers choice. The time difference between making each one is huge and I would imagine the price would be.Speaking for myself I would love a one off made to measure guitar just for me (In my dreams)

Hi Rod As already mentioned good to see you posting again and what a number to do it with your own guitar instro version of a Eddie Cochran classic.I know what you mean about being more of a spectator than a player I had been like that for quite a while but just recently have set myself the challenge to get back into things.

Gary Moore guitar genius I think most would agree his work is outstanding you just can't ignore it the style and sounds he produced was legendary he was amazing so sad he was just short of his 59th birthday when he died. His music lives on and Philc as always, has produced his own very excellent versions of his tunes.

A really outstandingly looking guitar it just adds a lot more to it having it made to your own custom requirements if it plays and sounds as good as it looks you will have a absolute gem of a Telecaster in the hands of the maestro.

If ever there was a way of upsetting and trying to exploit there patrons Photobucket have gone a long way in there attitude and endeavours to do it.They are evidently trying to cash in on there past popularity and success whether they will succeed remains to be seen or will they drive there former users into the arms of other providers ,it seems the latter might be the case.
