Peter, not one here has said she cant play, she certainly can play the socks of anyone here I'd bet, it is for most so far here, of literally showing her super ability to be able to play a lot of notes in a very short time. I'd love to hear her play some Larry Carlton, it is of course her choice to play whatever she likes, she will be among a large number of people who can all do the same but I do hope she raises her musical horizons to include the many styles open to very good guitarists like her. Mike. Fair Comment Mike Pete

Credit where credits is due at 9 years old to have the temperament and ability to learn and be able to be able to play something like this on a guitar is something outstanding and as fellow guitarists we should applaud her for it.Most of us know the time and effort put in learning playing and practicing things. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but it should not stop us admiring her for this.

Your not the first person to buy something with the best intentions only to find it does not really suit your style of playing. The trem arm as been to some the source of problems in the manufacturing and the use of it,that is why there are a lot of after market designs and manufacturers out there. You should not be to harsh on yourself about this I know the cost of it is not cheap but hey you can try and sell it on.I have to agree with George's comment about the location of the volume control the number of times I have made contact with it when playing are numerous,it would be interesting to hear how others manage with it.

I'm a big fan of the Hollies but those out of tune harmonies of GN & AC Phil I'm a big fan of them also as you can see in this thread but on this one I must agree with Phil. and admit it did make me wince a bit when listening to it that's the thing with unedited live recordings What you see is what you get. Pete PS: maybe it's a (dare I say ) AGE THING

Yes Carl Wayne was in the Hollies after Alan Clarke retired in 1999 Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards That's right George this a piece from his obituary: Carl Wayne is probably best known as lead singer and front-man of the legendary hit group The Move - one of the most significant bands to come out of Birmingham in the 1960s. Since that time, he has enjoyed a successful solo career as both a singer and recording artist as well as acting on television and the London stage. Two years ago, Carl joined Manchester's world famous group The Hollies as replacement for founding member Allan Clarke and as such, continues to perform and tour regularly with that group. Pete

Yeah, the Searchers and the Hollies still tour are there any original members left? It's a bit of a fraud Having seen both The Searchers and the Hollies not so long ago I can assure anyone who is thinking of going to see them it's well worth its a great show . In spite of the retirement of original singer Alan Clarke, the familiar line-up of Tony Hicks, Bobby Elliot, Ray Stiles, and Ian Parker (plus new singer Peter Howarth and guitarist Steve Lauri) continue to present a dazzling show, featuring favourite songs and that trademark Hollies sound. The Searchers present day line up is Current line-up. Spencer James : Vocals, Guitar. Scott Ottaway : Vocals, Drums. Frank Allen : Vocals, Bass. John McNally : Vocals, Guitar. Those amongst us who know them will recognise the names of the members of the groups. It's good to see groups like these and many more still willing to tour and bring there music to the public and I for one given the oppertunity would pay to see and support them. Pete

The Tokai Goldstar was one of the UK's best selling accurate vintage Strat coming in a choice between a 1958 or 1964 replicas and had all the very good specs about it. It all depends on if you want to keep it or sell it on if you want to keep it and play it then replacing the pups or any other work is purely for you pleasure and enjoyment and the value you put on that is up to you.If you are looking to sell it on then that's a different matter about trying to recoup the cost involved .

Hi Roger I have only heard about it but If you get the chance and everything is genuine about the MS and the price is right I would say go for it there are many recordings by members on here and others on YT using it and they sound pretty good if you search around for them. With The EFTP you will need the paperwork which should come with it to identify the patch's for the different tunes ect without that you will not be able to work it out at all.So check with the seller first that they have it otherwise it's no good just having the EFTP

Very informative!!!!!' this sort of things goes on about a lot of guitars right from the top down to the bottom and there a lots of partcasters and made up other guitars out there you can get even fake decals serial numbers and even fake signatures of artists it pays to check over the guitar and play it first if you able to selling over the Internet and the distances sometimes is a problem but it's all about the MONEY even down to genuine sales where they have been conned after posting that they have not received the guitar (when they have) and claiming there money back through PayPal ect.

Our group had the pleasure of supporting the Big Three on a couple of occasions, great guys.[/quote]
You group must have been very good to be on the same bill as them.Time back then the music was so inventive and entertaining we all thrived on it you just could not get enough of it and the groups played more for the love of it than the money which was always very welcome to get better guitars and gear I look back now and think what great times, what great mates the late 50's and 60's produced so many groups and great music .

I'm another big fan of Johnny Kidd & The Pirates music saw them in 1962/3 and have a collection of all there hits and much more some BBC Saturday Club recordings,I brought our two sons up on there music and we all used to sing there songs together one of the numbers we enjoyed singing was 'Growl' they are now in there late 40's and we still talk about it and have a good laugh at those times. I liked Mick Green his style and playing was outstanding as a guitarist who went on to play with other artists sadly he passed away in 2010.

I think Phil's opinion was not being picky but based on the photos and looking at it I noticed the same things all in all to those who are thinking about buying one good luck to them and if it's what you are prepared to pay and it's what you want go for it in its own right as a new guitar comparing it on price only to other makes and not on quality is only one way of looking at it.

The Squiers do have a better build than some of the other Chinese own name guitars. I have a few which I find really good A Strat CV50's along with a CV'50's Telecaster and a Jaguar also I have a Burns Marquee built in China all of which for the price are extremely good guitars to play and they sound remarkable.

The title that is used for this video clip is not accurate in reality but just a example. If there is one thing this shows is the versatility of the guitar and the people who play them. Through out the world there are various types of guitars and styles and this is in context just one example of a guitar and a style of playing. The ability to know about a guitar and play it is a talent of its own,The number of people I come across who say I wish I could play a guitar or musical instrument is amazing it seems there are more who can not play than the ones who do.

Hi Hubert What a rotten thieving thing to happen to you after entertaining people at the Hotel to find there security was lacking or non-existent,I wonder how the quests would feel if anything of there's was stolen. There is one very important message to everyone and that is not to scrimp on paying for insurance because you never know when you might need to claim.
