Interesting!!! but I would think there would only be a Limited market for them,Thinking of the Global market the guy in the video said there were making a initial batch of only 300 which would give the impression that those will probably be mega expensive wether for the players or the collectors.

Without a Seriel Number on the back of the headstock it's impossible to authenticate it, so everything else is just speculation.I think you will have to except it for what it is and how it feels and plays. There are lots of guitars about that some have made and played around with different parts and builds ect some are good and others not so good it is how you as the owner perceive its worth to you.I have this book on the Stratocaster and without a Seriel number your guitar can't be traced. A very good posting Dave the guy is a member on here and has posted this along with other ones in the past he seems a all round talented good guy and as Robby as mentioned he is now the Bass player with "The Rapiers" It's good when members recognise the talents of others and say so.

Nobody's in trouble it was just a observation about allowing a bit of time between posting a SF of the same tune to give other members a chance to comment on one first.I think a week would be fair to everyone.

Just as a observation what are the site rules for members posting a sound file for the same tune as one that as already been posted.I feel there should be at least a week to give a chance for members to comment without having overlapping of SF's Pete. Sorry pete. I thought if I posted in the public section it was ok. Will remove it. Duncan. Duncan I can assure you this is not about your SF Pete

As we all know, Hank was the main "salesman" so to speak for the Strat over here, If Hank hadn't been around it might possibly have been Buddy Holly had he lived longer but I think with not the same impact, but I think there is no doubt that it would have still made it's mark whatever! Phil Very much so Phil as time as proven and all the different models of it over the following years when I was a teenager the mention of the name Fender Stratocaster was godlike and now years on although I'm well in my 60's I have a the guitars I wish I had back then to play with. The build for this type of Strat covered a period from 1954 to 1965 it's interesting to think it would have been the choice of many artists of that era who used a Strat in America mainly until Hank had one imported to the UK in 1959

The price back then would have been a fortune to most young men playing a guitar. Pete I certainly couldn't afford one then, hence my buying a Rapier 33 for 29gns on HP. In 1975 Graham Forbes bought the guitar from a shop in London, I have the receipt for £160, they were still not real collectable at this time. Phil Amazing Phil the amount of history and information connected to your guitar which as been revealed. From the Seriel number showing 50,000s to 70,000s 1961 60,000s to 90,000s 1962 To the build STRATOCASTER pre-CBS 1954–65 21 frets, small headstock, one string guide, four-screw neckplate, three controls. • Fretted maple neck (maple neck with rosewood fingerboard from 1959); truss-rod adjuster at body end; one string-guide. • Body sunburst or colours. • Three white six-polepiece pickups (bridge pickup angled). • Three controls (volume, two tone) and three-way selector, all on pickguard; jack socket in body face. • Eight-screw white plastic or anodised metal pickguard (11-screw white or tortoiseshell laminated plastic from 1959). • Six-saddle small bridge with through-body stringing or six-pivot bridge/vibrato unit. Some examples with gold-plated hardware (when with blond body unofficially known as Mary Kaye model). Succeeded by STRATOCASTER CBS Sixties

From the book the history of the Fender Stratocaster of what they cost back in the early 60's
In Britain, the year after the import ban was lifted in 1959, Jennings became the first official distributor of Fender gear, joined by Selmer in 1962. A Jennings catalogue from 1961 pitches the UK list price of the Stratocaster at £147/17s/6d (£147.88; about $400 at the time), and three years later it had crept up to £160/13s/0d (£160.65; nearer $450). By summer 1965, both Selmer and Jennings had been replaced as the British Fender distributor by Arbiter, which continued for many years as the brand’s UK agent.
The price back then would have been a fortune to most young men playing a guitar.

Hi Pete, They could try phasing the modification in gradually - some guitars with and some without - which would give the manufacturers time to retool and offer the mod as an alternative. Of course, easier said. Not sure how this would work out in practice. Fender could introduce this as a trial period to test the waters. It does seem daft to continue with something no one likes nor, indeed, wants. Regards, Mike Would very much like to think so but honestly I can't see it happening it's the players of the guitars who very much want it and it's been going on for years even Hank had his Strat Trem altered and there have been lots of other brought out over time and the manufacturers just stick to there original design regardless of things. Its guys like Ron who started this Thread who get stuck in and come up with there own ideas and initiatives to remedy the problem. Hi Paul, I wonder why Fender doesn't include this on all their guitars (with whammy bars) now rather than slavishly following the vintage specs. Surely the screw-in arm has proven to be a flawed solution. Would anyone really object? Regards, Mike Hi Mike I can't see anyone objecting to having a more better/improved trem arm on there guitar. but what would happen to all the businesses that make and sell the replacement blocks and trem arms ect there are a number out there who do.If my memory serves me well I think there was a big debate on here about the subject a few years ago about this and As Ian (Harley) as mentioned in his posting that Fender must know about it but decide to do nothing and just leave it as it is. Hi Mike, I use MS Patch 23 with echo slightly reduced, which is an RE301 Mode 5 patch I think. I am not a stickler for getting an exact sound as long as the flavour is there. This is how I play it using a modified Tony Kiek BT which is a bit different and if I recall correctly, a little slower than The Shads' version. A great piece for live gigs. app.box.com/s/6npa2bdwhidk1qytlm5rRegards George

Hi Val "More Than I Can Say" written by Sonny Curtis and Jerry Allison from the Crickets and recorded by them. Followed by 'Bobby Vee' and also Leo Sayer I would say your version is more along the lines of the Leo Sayer one. You have capture the feel and sound of it really well and made a quality outstanding recording of it making It a most enjoyable listen

Hi John Just got round to listening to your rendition of Telstar and found it very interesting with your own variations on it producing some alternatives to the original sounds which to my ears gave it all a nice touch and made it a fine recording.

What and which ever way you use it is a real decent piece of kit to have and at a good price. Some of the settings I have sourced from different forums (thanks to those who have shared them) really do add a great deal to the sounds being produced and also experimenting with it is a lot of fun it's amazing what you can create with it.I think it's already been mentioned how it replicates the Tech 21 Liverpool which says a lot for it.

The Gallop in Apache for some reason it's alright most times I play it but occasionally I just don't know why but I just make a right mess up of it in my head thinking about about it coming up and rushing it. There are others.
