Hi Jeff, welcome to this very friendly and informative site, I'm sure you will be made very welcome here. We have quite a few members from Australia so you are in good company.
Regards,
Maurice.
PS, I believe there is a web site for Zoom users and apparently some people have tried their hands at some Shadows patches. Might be worth a look.

I also use a VOX MINI 5 Rhythm amplifier and for its size it does a great job and it only weighs about 4 kg.

Hi Ron,
Thank you for you very kind offer it is a very generous thing to do in this day and age. Just had a look at your site and it is very easy to navigate and the tabs are extremely well written and clear, makes me want to learn some new tunes.

Hi Gus,
Hope everything turns out well for you both. In these situations I like to tell about a friend of mine who was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer and given 5 years to live, that was nearly 10 years ago and he is still enjoying life.
Best regards,
Maurice.

For the past couple of years I have been playing in 3 or 4 local venues and I am the only one playing instrumentals (not to mention Shadows music) consequently I normally receive a lot of comments on how rare instrumentals are these days, but they are still well received.

I own several Vox amps from 1w to 33w transistor and tube/valve and also a Matchless DC30....but this recording was just my pedalboard and a Boss BR1600cd and a strat.
Hi Rob,
Your set up sounds very simple to me which is what I need. It would be appreciated if you could explain to me how exactly you do your recordings as I have a Boss BR900CD which I would like to record with.
Best regards,
Maurice.

It might not be as bad as you think, my 12 stringer was sat in the corner for 4 months because it seemed like a lot of work for one broken string. A few days ago when it was dull and raining I decided to go ahead with the restring and within the hour it was finished. Moral of the story, wait till you have noting better to do.

Hi Viv,
Very sorry to hear your news. The only thing I can say is try to be positive like a friend of mine who was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer and was only give 5 years to live, that was 9 years ago last August and he is still enjoying life because new drugs are being discovered all the time. Hope this positive story is a help to you.
Kind regards,
Mauice.

Hi Mike,
Your thread has been of great interest to me also as I recently bough a 2015 American standard with CS fat 50s. Mine plays very well at present but I did have to adjust the truss rod a little to stop some fret buzz. Thanks to your thread a lot of us will have a lot of information if and when the time arises when adjustments need to be made. Thanks again.
Best regards,
Maurice.

Thanks for the info Sheendigs but I have just ordered a shorter arm without the offset, as it was pointed out by Ian that it does not give you any more room than the normal one. Best regards, Maurice.

Sure, I already do 2-3 vocal gigs now,but some places just want background music. 2-3 hrs of singing takes it's toll on your vocal chords. Ok I didn't realise you were only playing background music, instrumentals will be fine.
