Nice one Tony - enjoyed you version very much. The BT you have found sounds good to.You say it's a little slower than the original -Your track lasts 3min 40 sec where Hanks version is 3:29.on Guardian Angel and Life Story yet 3:55 on Compact shadows.. I don't know what the difference is yet - a longer intro I would guess on Compact Shadows. The only BT I have is from Casting a shadow and is 4:16 so that's different again.- This BT has some of the second guitar part on it. Anyway Tony - You did a great job! All the best.. Phil

Hi Cleggy, I have the Samson AP1 Receiver & AF1 transmitter (Fender Style) and a AG1 transmitter (Gibson style - 90deg right angle ) as used by the Shadows on their first final tour. OK They have been around a long time but still work great. You can use a 9 volt battery or a 9 volt transformer in the receiver and an AAA 1.5 volt in the transmitter. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING is that you have a different frequency to your other band members other wise all sorts of strange things happen as you can imagine. Here is a link to a new one www.imuso.co.uk/Wireless/Wireless-by-Type/Guitar-Wireless/16809-/Samson-AirLine-AG1-AP1-Gibson-Style-Wireless-Guitar-System-Channel-E3Or a good second hand one on the well known auction site.. www.the well known auction site.co.uk/itm/Samson-Airline-Pedal-Style-UHF-Guitar-Wireless-System-/250921548172?pt=UK_Computing_CablesConnectors_RL&hash=item3a6c16f98c#ht_520wt_986 (Be sure to check with seller the frequency and then check the frequency of the other band members wireless systems. ) Good Luck... Phil

Hi Ade, Yes the zoom does come in useful for things like that as long as it's pointing in the right direction.! LOL I found it useful for Bruce's chords in Stardust and the Foot Tappers chords in The Warlord. I managed to blag my way up to the balcony - that way the tripod doesn't interfier with anyones vision. I told them that I was from Youtube and I was sent to video the show. Well it's nearly true. Main thing is is worked. Cheers Phil

Thanks guys - glad they come in useful. Chris - yes they did take a long time to upload, from my home broadband 3 hours per song, but I managed to use my son's works broadband over night and each one uploaded in 8 minutes, Not bad for 400meg files. Wish I had broadband like that at home. Cheers Phil

Hi Colin - I love playing acoustics especially the songs from Hanks Guitar player acoustic album. There is a big difference in the type of guitar for playing Lead, to that of playing Rhythm. I use a Steve Toon Montpellier for lead www.stevetoon.co.uk/shop/productdetails.php?id=10&cat=3It's beautiful to play lead on and is very loud even without using the transducer. But not sweet enough for general rhythm playing. For that I have a collection of Gibson acoustics. 2 Doves (one 1960's and one 1990's) and a custom 2004 J200. The 1990's Dove is probably the best value for money all round guitar especially if you can find a good second hand one. I think it all depends exactly what you want to play. If you want to play a lot of lead you would benefit from a cutaway guitar so you can reach those high up frets. Good luck... Phil

Hi Dick, how about a good set of enclosed headphones. I plug my headphones into my soundcard along with The guitar and into the computer. So can play along with any music as loud As you want while the wife watches tele and she can't hear a thing. cheaper and warmer in the winter than a shed. Just an idea. Cheers Phil

Hi Dick - some very good advise here. I struggle to learn a phrase sometimes And it usually because I haven't listened To the song well enough. I find you have to Be able to hum the tune accurately in your Head or you'll have no chance of playing it. The slowing down and looping a phrase is Such a big help to get the tune in your head. The thing about tabs is - it makes learning A song much quicker, but take the tabs away And I find that I have to start from scratch Again, so I try not to rely on them if I Can help it. Good luck.. Phil

Had a Hofner Verithin with bigsby around 1964 - don't remember selling it but it's not in the cupboard so I guess I did. Big mistake Then a 1960's sunburst Fender Telecaster sold in 1975 for £100 would have been worth a lot more now. More recently a PRS MCCARTY Hollowbody in tobaco sunburst sold in 2003 to fund my current Stratocaster and VOX AC 30. These are the 3 I regret selling most of all, so now I just add to my collection until I run out of wall space. Phil

Hi Steven, as James above said - It's very handy to have your BT's as MP3's on the computer. I plug my Strat into the Q2 with EFTP and then into a M audio delta 1010 sound card which is also the sound card for the computer. You can then play both the BT and guitar and get a very good mix. I Use headphones when I'm learning new songs, and use a GDT4 (renegade minds) for slowing the music down and looping it, etc. Cheers Phil

Hi Mickyb - there's one on the well known auction site currently £170 but with 7 days to go. cgi.the well known auction site.co.uk/HANK-MARVIN-2004-limited-edition-guitar-/380310271303?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item588c423547 I used to have one (No 75) and sold it 2 years ago for almost what I paid for it. I never did get on with it, but that's just personal preference. Good luck.. Phil

I tend to use 0-36 or 0-38 on the Q2 for most of the Hank solo numbers.
Could anyone tell me the correct patch for
Sylvia Oxygen 1V Mountains of the Moon.
Many thanks... Phil
