Hi Dave
I know what you mean lol and since working at the airports I pack my cases better. I think the key thing to remember is that the case, what ever the contents, should be there to protect the contents. I dont think it will be long before Ryanair start charging for air lol.

Hi Dave,
I see your point but I was pointing in the uk atleast I have workes at gatwick for over ten years, and have in that time done stints in Heathrow, stansted and luton. Im sorry to hear of your experiences, I must point out that im not involved in the baggage process directly, but can confirm for BA that it is their employees that handle the luggage as I have several friends who work as BA handlers. Once taken on the belts at check in its over to computers, until they are loaded in to the cages . Anyway this maybe slightly off topic lol.

In reply to Dave C,
Baggae handlers are not employed by the airports (baa and gatwick at least) BA have thier own handlers that are employed with them directly and just about every other airline ive seen at the airports ive worked at use handling agents, such as swissport, servisair, menzies.
As mentioned if its going in the hold it will probably go via the out of gauge belts to.the.baggage sort.area or if its particularlylarge, heavy or funny shape it will be taken by hand.

Id say I use 4 at most 2 echomatic 1 patches one with no feedback for Apache, the stranger etc an one with feedback for FBI, man of mystery etc and 2 echomatic 2 patches sleepwalk or the wonderful land patch and the patch for the savage as it has a much louder 4th head. These are the same variations I use with my Ese echomatic.

Hi Charlie,
Thank you. I like everyone else am looking forward to any demos when they are ready not that I need any convincing after what Amanda and others said about the unit next to a certain guitarist meazzi and the lack of difference. Looks like a great success for you and John. All the best for Thursday.

Hi Charlie and john
I wish I could of been at the get together but unfortunately I had to attend something a little more important the previous week, the birth of my second daughter. This is one unit I wish I could of heard in the flesh, the layout and way the controls work sound perfect to me as I enjoy playing with the units and this will make it that much easier, the same way as my Ese, I for one will be in line for one of them when they are ready and look forward to further developments.

Hi Keith
Guitar to echo to the vintage unit. No ariab's or cutting edge filters needed. looking at the unit in front of you position 1 is fully left and has some bass freq's cut, position 2 is the one you want this is the equivalent of the old bright switch in the on position, position 3 has some low freq's cut but a different part of the spectrum compared to position 1, position 4 is like plugging in to an old AC015 with the bright switch turned off.
Cheers

you are quite likely right Charlie. I was looking at the echo unit in the video, its rather tricky tryin to pin point exactly what was used when.

They are still advertising the tribute one on the gretsch site, about £8k i think. Then there's the 6120W 57, Dreams at the moment, hence the Electromatic idea and Cochranizing it, need to sell a guitar or two first lol.

Yes a lovely song and one I listen to quiet often, as Charlie has pointed out a mighty fine guitar player and all round musician. Have you listened to Darrel Higham (I'm sure you would of Charlie) especially his Cochran connection albums.
